Picnic, Pedalling, Plays… and Dancing!

Some great free things are going on this weekend, some right on our doorstep and some just a short bus trip away. You can get more ideas from the links to the right of the webpage, and from our recent What’s On pages, whatever you do have a great weekend.
The Geffrye Museum‘s First Saturday family day on 7th July is a dance extravaganza with the Move the Museum project and Replica Dance Company from 10.30am until 4pm, with something for all ages – storytelling, crafts and, of course, dancing. Find out more at the Geffrye Museum website.
Tower Hamlets Wheelers are offering a free bicycle check & repair service on Saturday 7th July between 2 & 5pm, at Arnold Circus Bandstand. Get your bike ready for tomorrow’s ‘Olympicnic’. (Children need to accompanied by an adult). Find out more at the Wheelers website.
Arnold Circus is the place to be on Sunday 8th July for the annual sharing picnic from 1 till 6pm. There will be music, ping-pong, a cycle challenge, go-karts and much more. Bring some food to share and join in the fun! Check out the Friends of Arnold Circus website for more information.
The Scoop at More London, (next to City Hall), has started its Free Summer Festival, with exhibitions, plays, films and music throughout the summer. This month, 5th July to 5th August, the Steam Industry Free Theatre Company presents ‘The Trojans’ every Thursday until Sunday, in three parts at 6.30, 8 and 9.30pm.
