Despite being in the middle of one of the most built-up areas in Europe’s biggest city, the Boundary Estate is surprisingly green. Thanks to the foresight of the estate’s planners we’ve got some beautiful mature trees, and thanks to the residents we’ve got some great planted areas all of which encourage wildlife. We’ve posted a new page today ‘Boundary Estate – Naturally’ highlighting some of the animals that can be seen on the estate and a guide to some of the birds living and nesting here too.
If you want to share any photos or information on our wildlife, please get in touch via the ‘Contact Us’ page. Also, if anyone can let us know what species of bat(s) have been spotted flitting about the estate we’d love to hear from you.
In the launderette you may have spotted a card like the one shown below. Tower Hamlets Council, Tower Hamlets Homes, the Metropolitan Police and the NHS have linked up to create the ‘Boundary Neighbourhood Agreement’, and want input from local residents. If you want to be involved in consultation for this, please complete one of the cards and hand it in to a member of the launderette staff and it will be passed on. If you require further information, please contact the Boundary Estate Officer, Mushtaq Osmani, on 020 7364 5015.
