Wet & Windy, Filming Continues…
Posted by Boundary Community Launderette on 23/08/2010
We hope you haven’t been caught out by a shower and aren’t being blown about too much by the wind. Filming is continuing on Calvert Avenue for ‘One Day’, but we’re open as usual today so you can watch the filming as you do your laundry.
If you have any queries or problems concerning the filming, contact details are on yesterday’s post. Tower Hamlets Film Office will be getting in touch with London Transport to complain about the closure of Shoreditch High Street bus stop without a nearby replacement.
It’s been almost 6 weeks since we started this site, and we’ve already had an amazing 2,100 visitors. Thank You! As a community business set up and run by local residents for local residents, it has always been our aim to provide information relevant to residents of the Boundary Estate and local area. With the website we can provide more detailed and up-to-date information, and links to more services. We’re also posting items of local history for anyone who may be interested. You can also contact us on the ‘About You’ page, and if you’re involved in a community group you can post information on your group and events via the ‘Community Noticeboard’.
If you want be be kept informed of local events, updated on launderette information and told when we’ve posted a new page, click on ‘Subscribe’ and you’ll get messages direct to your email inbox. We’ll send no more than 3 emails per week.
Look out for our post later in the week for information on local events over the bank holiday weekend. We’ll be closed next Monday, 30th August, for the August Bank Holiday, so please don’t forget to get your laundry done or collect a service wash by Sunday! We’ll be open as usual on Tuesday 31st August.
