Clocks have gone forward and so it’s officially spring, traditionally the time for cleaning and packing away those winter woollies. Inevitably this means chores, including searching out summer clothes and lighter duvets and bed linen which, if you’re anything like us, means that however carefully and conscientiously you stored things away in the autumn there are things that could do with a little freshening up. Yes, it’s a bit of a downer but don’t despair – we’re here to help! Instead of getting in a tizzy, why not drop your laundry into us for a service wash. We’re open every day from 8am until 7pm, so you can drop things off on your way out and collect it on your way home, or drop it in after work and pick it up the next day. As that darned annoying meerkat might say, simples! And, as a community-run, not-for-profit enterprise we’re one of the most competitively priced in the area.
Don’t forget that the schools break up in a couple of weeks, and there are two long weekends of bank holidays at the end of April, so now is the time to beat the rush.
Thanks to everyone who has been donating and buying books from the bookstall, we’ve so far raised £30 for the British Red Cross Japanese Tsunami Appeal. There are still hundreds of thousands of people who have lost everything in desperate need, so if you’ve got any books please drop them in to us. Every penny raised until mid-April goes to the appeal. http://www.redcross.org.uk/japantsunami
