We’ve been tempted out of Launderette Towers by the glorious spring sunshine, and have taken some photos of the spring blooms in the courtyard planters and on Arnold Circus. We’re lucky to live on an estate where residents take such pride in the place they live. You can see the photos on their very own page – click the link to take a peek: Spring Flowers
We’ll be taking a little break from the blog because of the Bank Holidays, don’t forget to make a note of when we’ll be closed: Easter, Royal Wedding & May Day Closures
There are lots of links to local places of interest, advice, general information and transport information on the right of this page. If you’re stuck for something to do, why not take a minute to do our poll? Let us know what you find useful on our website at the Launderette Website Spring Poll – we won’t ask for any personal info or contact details, and you’ll be helping us make the website better for you.
Despite not blogging the volunteer directors will be working at applying for funding for the urgently needed new machines. We are sorry to those of you who’ve been inconvenienced, but hope you understand that due to the council’s protracted negotiations concerning our lease we were unable to plan and apply for any grants or funding for more than two years. April is the month when we can start applying for funds, which we are doing, but they do take time. Minor repairs are done as quickly as our engineer can get to us, major repairs and replacements require the grants.
Enjoy the next two long weekends – let’s hope the sun keeps shining!
