Is That It? Yup, It Is!

The lull before the school half term holiday means that there’s very little happening this weekend. Don’t forget, though, that on Saturday 21st May at 3pm is the Boundary Neighbourhood Assembly (see our previous post for details).
If you’ve got a Tower Hamlets Library or Idea Store card, you can get into the Tower of London for just £1! It’s well worth joining the library or Idea Store for that alone. There are a wide-range of exhibitions at the Tower, from armour to zoos, as well as the perennial favourites the crown jewels, the ravens and the Beefeaters. Check out the Tower of London website, and also have a look at the Idea Store website too.
On Sunday 22nd May the Horniman Museum is having a ‘Bali Day’ from 10am until 4.30pm, with storytelling, dancing and singing. The Horniman Museum is well worth a visit, with fantastic collections of costumes, masks and art from around the world, a fascinating natural history collection and beautiful gardens. It’s only around 25 minutes from Shoreditch on the East London overground! See their website for full details.
Don’t forget that you can check out local places to visit in our links to the right. There are some lovely farms and parks nearby if the sun shines, and a few museums and galleries too. We can recommend a walk through the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park – there’s a fantastic display of wild flowers. Have a lazy time this weekend and leave your laundry with us – it’s only £2 extra per machine for a service wash – you deserve it!
