Posted by Boundary Community Launderette on 28/06/2012

After a little break, (did you miss us?), we’re back with more free goings-on in the neighbourhood. Saturday is chock-full of things to do, but Sunday is very quiet so it may give you the chance to chill out on Arnold Circus or in some other local park. Check out other places to visit in our ‘Local Places’ links on the right of the web page. Whatever you do have a lovely weekend, and don’t forget we can help you make the most of your free time by lessening your chores with a service wash!

Virginia School is holding a Summer Fayre on Saturday, 30th June, from 11am until 3pm in the playground, Virginia Road, E2. There’ll be stalls, activities and food. Pop along and support our brilliant local primary school.

The Museum of Childhood is holding the New Voices Festival on Saturday 30th June from Midday until 6pm.  The Museum grounds, neighbouring Museum Gardens and St John’s Church will burst into colour with a day of live music, carnival procession, dance, theatre, workshops, stalls and food in celebration of the diverse talents of London’s new communities. Find out more from the Museum’s website.

The new selection of art from the Government Art Collection at the Whitechapel Gallery shows art purchased during the past 60 years,  and unveils a brand new work of art inspired by the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games. On your way in take a look at the beautiful new addition to the front of the building by local resident and Turner Prize winning artist Rachel Whiteread. Find out more at the Gallery website.
